Juan Forte is a dynamic platform dedicated to propelling sound system culture forward by merging authentic underground sounds with striking visual aesthetics. Founded in 2016 by Beavs, Brizz, Dott, Fonz, Jaya, and Underhill - Juan Forte is where music and art converge; encompassing a record label, live events, fashion, and digital media. From their resident cartoonist, Chas, to a diverse roster of releasing artists and the expansive Juandem community, Juan Forte stands as a creative nexus at the intersection of music and visual expression.

Leftlow offers a distinctive take on early Dubstep, with releases on notable labels like SYSTEM, Juan Forte and Exit Records. Their sound highlights intricate mid-range design, blending half-step beats with layers that navigate between fast and slow, meditative, intense and hypnotizing. Drawing inspiration from jungle, DNB, half-time and dubstep - this low-end focused duo crafts a contemporary sound that stands out in the genre.

True to his name, Rareman has gained an enchanting notoriety for stacks of sought after dubplates and VIP’s only heard in the dance. In his University days, Rareman would frequent SYSTEM nights at the Dome as well as DMZ and MEDi parties. These outings were foundational and inspired him to start crafting his own sound system music. In his own words “All that stuff being ran on dubplate at SYSTEM made me wanna have a go at making my own tunes. A lot of my melodies are inspired from hear basslines at proper Reggae sound system nights; or trying to channel my other influences like Brazillian, Soul music and Hip Hop and bringing these textures and rhythms into Dubstep.”

Kent local Sub Basics has released an astounding amount of work on some of the genre’s most renowned labels including Juan Forte, Modern Hypnosis, Lion Charge and Infernal Sounds just to name a few. With early inspirations from the likes of DMZ, Mala, Coki, 2562 and Martyn, Sub Basics stands out as an artist able to deliver a wide range of musical tempos and beat patterns while still maintaining a signature sound.

Hailing from Bristol - Truant’s elusive, cloak-like reputation in the underground UK scene has captivated listeners with a true-to-the-sound disposition. His authentic releases on various labels including his own XPRS imprint and 2 year running Rinse FM residency has become a staple within the dubstep circles. Also known as ‘Saturday Night Rush’, his sound incorporates breakbeat, garage, jungle and a ravey sound while paying homage to early dubstep arrangements.
